• Content You Upload: Photos, videos, voice notes, and written entries related to your children's memories.
• App Activity: Usage data, interactions, and app performance metrics (collected anonymously via Mixpanel).
• Device Information: Device type, OS, and crash logs used to maintain app reliability and security.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Enable account creation, login, and app personalization.
• Securely store and organize your uploaded memories.
• Improve app performance and features based on anonymous usage analytics.
• Communicate with you regarding app updates or account-related information (only when necessary or with your consent).

3. Data Storage & Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us deliver VaultIt:

• Firebase (Google): For secure storage of media and text content.
• Mixpanel: For anonymous analytics and user interaction data.
• Apple App Store / Google Play: For account and payment processing.

These providers are required to handle data securely and comply with relevant privacy laws.

4. Data Security

VaultIt uses Firebase's infrastructure, which includes encryption in transit and at rest. However, personal content such as photos and voice notes is not currently encrypted on your device before being uploaded. We do plan to implement stronger client-side encryption in future updates.

We recommend avoiding the inclusion of identifiable information (e.g., full names or sensitive personal data) in memory entries.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You may:

• Access or manage your account and memories within the app.

6. Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. Deleting your account will remove all associated data from our systems and servers.

7. For International Users

Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions via cloud providers. By using VaultIt, you consent to this data transfer and storage.

8. Analytics and Tracking

We use Mixpanel to analyze anonymized user behavior. No personal media or sensitive content is shared with analytics services. All analytics are used solely to improve user experience.

9. Changes to This Policy
